Roaming Computing System (Windows Edition) 3 - K-Lite Codec Pack
Contents
Description
Amongst many other things, includes ffdshow, MediaInfo Lite and Codec Tweak Tool.
7.9.0
| Version | 7.9.0 |
| Variant | Standard Having experimented with 'K-lite Mega pack' in order to get RealPlayer working, we have found that it installs Media Player Classic even when this has been deselected in the GUI (this is because Media Player Classic is necessary to play 'streamed' RealMedia files). An option in the future, should anyone want to play RealMedia files, is to install 'Real Alternative lite' [which we now do] which has all of the codecs and includes the Directshow plugin to enable RealMedia content in Windows Media Player. We also lose the ability to play FLAC files (when using the K-Lite Standard rather than K-Lite Mega pack), but there is lots of Internet noise about the version of coreFLAC which they use not working, and as none of our clients use it, or at least have ever asked for it, we are going to leave it for future development. |

| Configuration | Run the installer with the command-line parameter -MakeUnattended to create an unattended setup using the "Unattended Install Maker". Complete this wizard. Select those components and settings that you want to use in your unattended install. Two files will be created in the same directory as the installer: klcp_standard_unattended.ini and klcp_standard_unattended.bat To run the unattended setup, simply execute the klcp_standard_unattended.bat file. K-Lite_Codec_Pack_790_Standard.exe -MakeUnattended These are the changes we make from the defaults:
